From our desk to yours,
We were sitting outside Café Gitane, searching aimlessly for the perfect fit, when the name of Louis le Prince popped up in conversation --- French artist, inventor and the father of motion picture. Maybe it was one of those rare moment of serendipity, maybe we had subconsciously already picked up on the fact that we were sitting on the corner of Prince and Mott. Regardless, it felt definitively right. A quick switch from ‘ce’ to the Swedish ‘s’ -- and PRINS was born.
Wanting to do things differently is the catalyst for this new excursion. Rooted in traditional storytelling and clear creative intention, we aim to create a space for people and stories that have the possibility for impact. We believe in a new wave of filmmaking: inclusive, deliberate, and bold enough to push past the familiar, all while staying rooted in the lasting power of a really good story.
In a world of algorithms and repetition, we believe that stories — real, messy, honest stories — still matter. That there’s power in the unexpected, the unpolished, and the deeply human. PRINS is not about spectacle. It’s about substance.
We are here to make things with care. With courage.
We are excited to have you with us on the journey,
Best,
Emma & Linus
